5 Reasons Why Women Love Bezel Diamond Ring Design
With the demand for diamond nowadays, there is a constant innovation in terms of artistry and technology to come up with beautiful diamond pieces. Lucky for us consumers since this gives us much variety to choose from. However, bezel diamond ring design is the one design that stands out for many women. And here’s the reason why:
Reason # 1: Women love their diamonds. And being naturally protective of what they love, bezel setting is perfect. Having a metal rim enclosing it snugly will protect the diamond from harsh elements like dust, dirt and oil. All of which are known culprits in causing the gradual dullness of a diamond.
Reason # 2: Women are more likely to give sentimental value to a jewelry piece they hold dear. Which makes the bezel settings quite appropriate as the metal rim will lock the diamond securely in its place. There is less likelihood of the stone falling off or getting snagged by clothes.
Reason # 3: Women likes to preserve a stone’s innate beauty. Perhaps this applies to men as well. With a more streamlined design, the diamond is less likely to come in contact with any other elements that may mar its appearance. You’re less afraid that the stone will accidentally get scratched when it touches hard objects.
Reason # 4: A bezel setting gives you flexibility. It all comes down to personal preferences. More than anything else, a ring is something very personal. It’s only appropriate that you have a say on how it looks. With bezel settings, you do have the option of setting it with platinum, gold or silver. Most people prefers platinum but it is your opinion that should count in this case.
Reason # 5: Its streamlined and understated appearance gives it a look fit for a nobility. Beautiful yet unassuming. Brilliant yet never flamboyant. It gives the wearer a sense of classic elegance unique on its own.
Some people would say that a bezel setting design would occlude the diamond and diminishes the brilliance of the stone. This is one unfounded myth. While the metal rim would enclose a good deal of the diamonds edges, light pass through the surface of the diamond which is basically left uncovered. This way, a diamond’s sparkle will never be obscured.
Of course, when shopping for the perfect ring much thought must be given to the pros and cons of each individual designs. However, getting something that looks very nice in overall design is just as important for something as significant and symbolic as a ring.
