Look for certification
There are plenty of online stores that deal in jewellery and diamond jewellery in particular. These stores generally have an abundance of designs, shapes and sizes as far as diamond jewellery is concerned. Many of them also sell loose diamonds at wholesale prices. If your intention is to make a purchase of this kind we would suggest that the first thing that you should do is look for a certification. It is advisable to choose online stores that have a GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) certification.
Customer service
Make sure the online store that you are considering making a purchase from has a good customer service team with various means to contact them. If they have a phone number or an email address, try it out just to make sure there is actually someone to assist you with your query. This is very important as you will need to be able to contact someone from the company in case there is a problem with your order.
Now start looking
Once you are satisfied with the certification that the online store has and their customer service start scouting around for the diamond / diamonds that you want. Do not make your purchase right away; it is always good to compare the different stones that they have in terms of their cut, colour, clarity and most importantly their cost. Make your purchase only once you are convinced of what you are buying. It would also help if you check on the return policy of the store. There would be no point in spending all that money and receiving something other than what you ordered for and then getting stuck with it. Also use a credit card when you make a purchase like this, that way you have some protection in case something goes wrong with your order.
