Why are the gem sellers on eBay selling something so valuable for such a tiny amount of money?

The starting price was just $0.99. And I’m pretty sure the seller’s items are genuine because he/she has very good feedback. I’m absolutely not interested in buying these stuff but it just made me so curious.

Because they sell thousands of items per day, which they will bulk buy at extremely low prices. I’ve had some beautiful, genuine, jewelry very cheap off ebay.
