How do I keep my trillion cut white sapphires sparkling? They sparkled fine before they were set.?
For our 35th anniversary, I had a pear shape ruby and two trillion cut white sapphires set on my wedding band. They look nice, but the sapphires don’t sparkle like they did before setting. The setting is a good one with the sapphires mounted so the light can get under them, but they just DON’T sparkle. I am even considering changing them out. I want sparkle!!!! Even a CZ would probably be better. Help is greatly appreciated.
I’m sorry, I should have explained that I know how to clean my jewelry in many ways. The stones are clean, they are clear, they just don’t sparkle like they did before the setting. And they get dirty in what seems like an instant, when they are dirty they look foggy, but clean they are clear and bright, just don’t sparkle or catch the light like they did when unmounted. Is this just a characteristic of white sapphires?
TO CLEAN YOUR RINGS GET A PLASTIC CUP SOMETHING YOU CAN KEEP BY YOU DRESSING AREA USE 3% MR.CLEAN AND 7% WATER NO MORE THAN THAT OR YOU CAN RUIN YOUR JEWELRY USE THE EXACT AMOUNT IF YOUR STONES AREN’T SPARKLING THEN THEY ARE DIRTY SO JUST PUT YOUR RING IN AND LET MR.CLEAN GO TO WORK YOU CAN LET IT SET FOR DAYS AND IT WILL BE JUST FINE THEN WHEN YOU TAKE OUT YOUR RING LET YOUR RING AIR DRY THEN USE LUKE WARM WATER TO RINSE YOUR RING OFF IT WILL SPARKLE LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE AND YOUR RING WILL SHINE AND YOU WILL HAVE A SMILE ON YOU FACE GOOD LUCK
